ATC’s strength in the Wi-Fi arena comes in its’ diversity of projects that cover a wide range of Wi-Fi applications. Covering everything from Hot-Spots to entire Canopy networks, ATC’s experience with deploying Wi-Fi is sure to be a valuable asset. With a policy of being product agnostic ATC is allowed the freedom of choosing the best product to suit your individual need. We also have a policy of thinking “Outside of the Box” often combining multiple cutting edge technologies in order to meet the design criteria of our clients. So no matter what your Wi-Fi needs may be, from a Wi-Fi Camera Security System that allows you to adapt as the need arises, to providing a Wi-Fi Canopy covering a Mall, Hotel, or an entire city, ATC is your answer. Here are just a few of ATC’s Wi-Fi deployments.
Key West, FL
Homeland Security Wi-Fi Camera System
This security camera system covers both Mallory Square as well as the Naval Station in Key West. Malory Square consists of 7 of the 16 cameras on this system. These cameras are used to monitor key areas by the police department within Mallory Square. The signal broadcasts all 7 of the cameras back via 5.8GHz approximately one mile to the Control Room. Due to the sensitive data that is being sent back it is a critical element that the cameras broadcast back in real time, and securely, which we have achieved. We have also set this system to broadcast the video securely via 2.4GHz, this allows the police to pull up with a laptop anywhere within our coverage area and view any or all of the cameras on the system, provided he has the correct security credentials. Security can be set as loose or as stringent as needed. The remaining 9 cameras are positioned in critical areas along the Naval Port. These cameras cover the port of entry, and several other key areas, for the various cruise ships that dock here. Again the need for real time video is a key element. Another Important feature to this system is that it is all outdoors. Both the real time video and the ability to withstand the elements have been accomplished with this system. All cameras broadcast to a central Control Room via Wi-Fi where the data can be stored for up to 45 days. This storage capacity can easily be upgraded by simply adding hard drives. As this is an IP based system we have the ability, should the customer desire, to monitor the system from virtually anywhere in the world.
Hollywood, FL
City Wi-Fi Project
Hollywood Florida’s Wi-Fi system is delivered through a dual band outdoor radio. It delivers high speed internet access to the public via 802.11 b/g, the current standard for most Wi-Fi products , and broadcasts back by way of 5.8GHz. This minimizes interference from other wireless devices, which typically use the 2.4GHz spectrum. Wi-Fi is provided with this system to certain areas of Hollywood Florida including Young Circle and the boardwalk. Wi-Fi is delivered to the end user absolutely free. This allows the public to surf anywhere there is a Wi-Fi signal, giving them freedom to surf from one of the many outdoor establishments along the boardwalk and even to surf the web from the beach if they should so desire. All the end user must do is register via a custom splash screen which ATC provided. This splash screen will prompt the user to log on and after doing will then send the user to his/her homepage. The splash screen can be customized to allow for advertisements or whatever the client desires. Due in part to the successful deployment of this system, the city of Hollywood, FL is currently in the process of finalizing plans to deploy a city wide Wi-Fi network consisting of more than 650 APs (Access Points) which will allow for a variety of Wi-Fi applications including meter reading, security cameras, SIP phones, IPTV, and much more.
Honolulu, HI
Holiday Surf Hotel
The purpose of this project was to provide a canopy that covered every area in the hotel, from the common areas to the rooms and balconies. Users could access the internet, for a fee, by the hour, day or by the week. Users also had access to a centralized printer in order to print itineraries, boarding passes, or various other documents. Each print was also a nominal charge and would inform users of the charge and then once agreed to by the user their credit card would be charged. Users could also choose to access the internet via pre-paid cards. These worked much the same as phone cards in that you purchased time. That time would decrease as you used the internet or used the printing service. There were many other services that could have been added such as web-cams that could be charged for or given free. As this type of a system is completely customizable from the welcome screen to the back end pricing matrix, it can be tailored to the individual customers need. Should the customer have chosen to do so the internet could have been delivered to the end user at no cost. This system is also completely scalable so no matter what size the hotel we can deliver Wi-Fi access to each and every room as well as any common areas. One of the unique features to this project was that by having an access card, the user was allowed high speed wireless internet anywhere that we had a system. In other words at any hotel, any mall, any Internet café where our system was their card would allow them secure access.
