Sawgrass Mills Mall
Sawgrass Mills Mall is Florida’s second largest attraction, next to Disney World. With over 13 million visitors each year, security is critical to the mall’s daily operation. Liability issues such as auto theft slip and fall, vandalism and general surveillance are major concerns. ATCI has installed an integrated security system that consists of approximately 100 cameras, multiple intercoms, card-key guard tour and fire alarm interface. The state-of-the-art control console houses all monitors, alarms (intrusion, fire and motion) and video controls. |
Communications are situated in three mini control rooms – this made installation much less expensive and easier to enhance as the Mall grows. 4th Largest Shopping Mall in the United States 2.5MM Sqft 150 + Acre Site 10 Anchor Tenants Entertainment Complex.

The system has many customized system solutions. At the request of the Heat basketball team, ATC also designed and installed biometric fingerprint readers at the players’ entrance, locker room and team meeting rooms. Miami Beach Convention Center
The Miami Beach Convention Center, consisting of 1.2 million square feet of hall space, is used throughout the year by the city as a venue for hundreds of various shows and conventions. ATCI designed a completely integrated CCTV, Access Control and Guard Tour System for the Center. The system is comprised of over 75 color and black/white cameras and with the recent expansion into the Theater of Performing Arts, will expand the system to slightly under 100 cameras. |
Thirty-five cameras possess Pan/Tilt/Zoom capabilities and are protected by domed housings. Using only two wires, the system has the ability to monitor and control a cluster of up to 50 cameras within a five-mile radius of the Convention Center’s Control Room.
The Access System is in place throughout the Executive Offices and can be expanded to 128 Card Readers. The turnkey Guard Tour System allows security guards to check the status of any room or door through the use of bar codes and bar-code scanners to collect this information. A charger then extracts the information, generating reports on the building’s status.
